THE CHALLENGE

80sTees.com's mission is to delight the kid in all of us. While their huge collection of nostalgic clothing and memorabilia delivered on that brand promise, their content and online experience was lacking. 

THE SOLUTION

My team and I started out by clearly defining 80sTees' purpose, vision, and values to give their brand a solid identity rooted in authenticity. We also studied up on geek culture to really get into the heads of their quirky customers. 

Finally, we took all these insights and created a style guide that transports you to a decade of acid washed jeans and 8-bit everything—and a brand message that brings their values of fun, community, and self-expression to life.

MY ROLE

  • Create verbal strategy, message architecture, and voice and tone guidelines
